MyTouch-3GThe folks at Cnet got what few in the states can’t get until August and that’s a hands-0n look and feel of T-Mobile’s second Android.  It’s called MyTouch 3G and it’s better than the first, as we should expect.  Here’s the gist on what Cnet felt about the phone.  Read

The Battery:

It lasts longer at 1300 mAh compared to the G1’s 1300 mAh.  Some of the complaints of the first is the inability to run multiple applications for too long without it sucking up the battery life.  With the MyTouch 3G, more apps with more battery.

The Storage:

71MB is a bit of a joke, really.  The second Android comes with 512MB for more apps.  This is the right answer from the folks at Android since they won’t let us store apps on a memory card.

Design:

With touch there’s really no need for a physical keyboard and the Android app store offers various keyboard options like Bettery keyboard, Sure-Type like layout, and T-9 if you prefer.  There is also a larger trackball and the navigation buttons have been changed.

Do you upgrade or not?

Well, this is the question that Cnet brings up.  I say, if you have the money then go ahead.  Taylor Wimberly at Cnet prefers the Google Ion over the MyTouch for those first purchasing an Android phone and it is his primary.

Here’s the article from Cnet.
