Verizon Wireless has apparently confirmed, according to Yahoo!, that it will be getting the Palm Pre sometime in early 2010. Naturally, there are no exact dates or prices. Those tricky phone carriers like to build up the tension. For Verizon subscribers, the release of that tension will be as enjoyable as letting the buckle go on the belt after Thanks Giving.
I just wonder why does AT&T get the exclusive with the iPhone but Sprint is only able to hold on for a measily year? Perhaps Pre’s financial troubles it had gotten into forces them into a more broader market for the Pre. That’s okay with me. I’m a Verizon Customer. I was going to update my phone for nursing school but now I think I’ll wait and use the ‘ol pharmacology book instead of a smartphone…until the Pre comes out anyway.
I’ve had my Pre considering that shortly after launch and am glad to get (by way of this forum) that I can now set a ring tone on incoming text messages and can research via e-mails and such. Now is there any hope for an upcoming launch through which I can seek my calendar? Would make my career significantly easier, acquiring dates of final appointments. No other complaints, except that yesterday I had been in and out of Sprint assistance (not unusual). I feel I was roaming, and looked at my calendar. Every thing in the calendar was 1 hour earlier than what I had input. The clock was 1 hour early as nicely. I was scared to death–then, once we got back into Sprint support once more, every thing was normalized. Has this happened to any individual else?? Searching forward to answers, but please bear in mind, I’m no techie and speak English as opposed to technospeak.
Uh oh, you might want to come clean up this puddle…
