It was only a matter of time that the BlackBerry Storm’s price dropped because it’s only a matter of time that BlackBerry will come out with a 2nd and better edition of their first touch-phone. Could it be a simple reaction to AT&T’s price drop? Probably so. It’s just not good business sense to sell “controversially inferior” (not that we think it’s inferior) phone for more, especially when it has as many reported glitches. Nonetheless, $99 with a 2-year upgrade is not a bad deal if you’re up for an upgrade or tired of your current, non-Verizon, provider and wish to give the SurePress a try…for 2 years that is.
If you’re about to be a first-time smartphone buyer and just can’t choose between a BlackBerry, iPhone, or Palm (is it even worth listing any others?) then perhaps you should check out the post about WordPress on the BlackBerry. This just may convince you that $99 is a nice enough deal if you’re a compulsive blogger and a bus or train commuter.
