A bit about mobile electronics

Amazon Drops the Price of the Kindle

With cellphones, laptops, GPS, and all other portable gadgets that make the human experience more mobile and compact, it was only a matter of time when a book became electronic too.  Amazon’s Kindle wasn’t really an innovated idea but they are the first to bring a simple idea to practical use and market it successfully.  The only thing that would deter book lovers from this electronic literature source is the price.  The original $399 is a big start up price no matter how cheap titles are able to be downloaded for.  Of course, the fate of the Kindle is the same as any electronic; their price is destined to go down.
Good news for literature lovers who are also gadget lovers.  Amazon decided that this new technology has done little service at the $400 mark.  They dropped it down to $299 with free shipping and this doesn’t seem like a limited time offer.
The 6″ Kindle can download a book in less than 60 seconds using the 3G wireless network and can store over 1,500 titles.  It’s just 1/3 of an inch and weighs a mere 10.2 ounces, about the weight of a paperback, as they point out.  This discounted and latest version of the Kindle also has 25% more battery life and text-to-speech feature which reads outload to you.  The Kindle isn’t just for book titles.  It can be your source of newspapers, blogs, magazines, periodicals, and more.  As this mobile reader changes the literarary culture, expect the available titles to increase and expand.
You can expect to pay a low price of $9.99 for a Best Seller or a new release.
