We had written an post a bit back that mentions how LG’s CEO was talking about how they plan on becoming the second largest cell phone manufacturer. The only way this would ever be is if they could effectively compete with the smart-phone market that BlackBerry, Apple, and Palm seem to dominate. They also need to compete with the more affordable but just as sweet, mobile phone market as well. Well, a number of blogs are revealing that LG will be coming out with the LG GW620, which will be an Android powered phone. Good for them but couldn’t they come out with a catchier name?
